Due to its proximity to the University of Texas – West Campus in Austin, Texas, like North Campus residents, are primarily college students.

West Campus is closer to the undergraduate department as well as the business and communication schools making it more desirable for many undergraduate students. Attractions in West Campus Austin Texas
The eastern boundary of West Campus is a major commercial area known as “The Drag” or Guadalupe Street, where clothing stores, restaurants, bookstores (including the University COOP), and venues are located just across the street from the university. These businesses typically service college students’ needs.
UT Austin’s football stadium, the Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, is about a half mile away, and the UT visitor’s center, where campus tours begin, is located in this neighborhood.
